The date given is from the first ("Patrologia Latina") title page - I have sometimes noticed (e.g. PL 35) a discrepancy between the date on that page and that on the author title page.

Se siente muy bien que alguien tome en cuenta el trabajo de uno, y conste: NO SE ENTIENDA que esto es orgullo o vanidad por un reconocimiento inter pares... de ningún modo. Sólo soy un aficionado, y lo tomo como una palmada en el hombro que un maestro dá al alumno que apenas está aprendiendo a escribir.
